about

This is an agglomeration of all the warming autumnal effulgence that filled my soul when I laid eyes upon the ghost girl I loved ages ago. As she began to show up at my door again, I began to write again. This album is the result and is really only meant for her ears but I figure it can't do any harm letting others listen as well. For the most part I would say this record is non-fictitious with only small glow worms of anything chimerical. I tried to layer things more clearly this time around but as it is in my head, it all becomes sort of inscrutable in the end. I suppose there could be rather profound ideas found somewhere beneath the wobbling organ tones and mercurial lyrics but at its core it is me singing about being in love and knowing it's for good.

Accompanied by his one- hundred year old banjo named peppers he sings blue jazz age songs about curses, white lace gowns, and anemic dames. He is also working on his first novel about an ill-fated prostitute and the reprobate fool who loves her. ... more
